Two Words of Tarvuism, the

Early 12th century English Tarvuist manuscript, extolling the virtues of 'being nice'

The central tenet of Tarvuism, the Two Words of Tarvu are, “Umfitty noonah”. This translates as “Be nice.”

From this short exchange has come the Tarvuist mantra “Be nice. But if you can't be nice, be quite nice”. This is often heard during religious services (“Umfitty noonah, telebunty nop nop, talvim umfitty tenebim noonah”).
